Edgewood Church began its first worship service about a year ago. Many churches have partnered with Edgewood Church during the last couple of years. Below is a video that Smoke Rise used in a worship service to share with the congregation about what Edgewood Church is doing and how Smoke Rise has partnered with Edgewood Church.

Missional Focus: Connect Church
Connect Church and Pastor Tez Andrews hosted many community events this summer to help the community know that the church is in the community. Below is a facebook video link of the Upward Sports Camp the church and volunteers from Charleston SC hosted for the community at Rainbow Park Church.
In the last days it will be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh and your sons and daughters will prophesy and your young men will see visions and your old men will dream dreams. Even upon my slaves, both men and women, in those days I will pour out and they will prophesy.
Using the passage above, Pastor Bob Browning encouraged each person attending Smoke Rise to spend time alone with God to dream God’s Dream for their lives.
I dream of a day when every affiliated congregation
Will become the Presence of Christ in its community. That each congregation will learn how to “bless its community” and become a part of what God is already doing in the community.
Will become a community center that ministers to the needs of the people in its community.
Will see that it is not simply an institution, but an agent of God in its community.
Will recognize that God is a sending God and we are His sent people.
Will become an active partner in church planting.
I also dream of a day when pastors from every affiliated congregation will come together for fellowship, prayer, and sharing their God dreams and God stories.
I also dream of a day when laity will lead house churches, church plants, and engaging Bible studies in the work place.
I also dream of a day when clergy and laity will engage individuals who are disconnected from God and will share the love, grace, and forgiveness of God that is available to them through Christ.

Basic Training 2010
Several church planters and church revitalizers along with members of their core leadership teams attended a Basic Training workshop held in the facilities of Clairmont Hills Baptist Church. During the workshop, they discussed, formulated, and/or clarified such important items as the vision, mission, values, evangelism and disciplemaking strategies, as we as their plans for reproduction.
Please pray for these and others in our association who are seeking to start and revitalize churches.
Below are some photos from this recent Basic Training. (If you are viewing this on the Home Page, click the READ MORE button below right to see more photos of the church planters and their teams at work during Basic Training.)
